The cable type and length are always printed on the outer cable. The length is in feet (305 mm) and measured from the mounting point in the helm box to the end of the output arm when half extended.

Example A (Fig. 1) Length = A+B+C minus 10 cm for each 90º bend + 30.5 cm for mounting on the engine. Example: A = 50 + B = 250 + C = 80 minus 20 cm for 2 x 90º bends = 360 + 30.5 cm = 390.5 cm 390.5 cm : 30.5 = 12.8 feet. So a 13-foot cable must be selected

Example B (Fig. 2+3) Length = A+B+C minus 10 cm for each 90º bend. Example: A = 50 + B = 250 + C = 80 minus 20 cm for 2 x 90º bends = 360 cm 360 cm: 30.5 = 11.8 feet. Then a 12-foot cable must be selected
