To transfer the engine’s power to propel the vessel with as little vibration and noise as possible, you need the correct size engine mount. Shore indicates the hardness of the damper. 55 is usually suitable for most engine installations, but there may be situations where you want a softer or harder mount. If in doubt, talk to your engine mechanic about which hardness will suit your boat.
