Andersen offers several types of electric winches. The most affordable version is a 1-gear motor, available in sizes from 28 to 72. Here you get a powerful motor and, at the same time, the option of a 2-gear manual winch.

Andersen E1 electric winches give you the ability to hoist and trim sails of any size at the push of a button. They remove the need for physical strength, making it possible for all crew members to handle lines and sails easily and safely.

Easy installation The motor has 2 built-in relays, which means a more reliable, neater, and easier installation. Installation requires only connecting the positive and negative power cables to the motor terminals and connecting the included control pushbutton using the output cable. A circuit breaker, not included, is mounted to protect the installation.

Efficient, high-quality motor At the heart of the E1 winch is a high-quality motor, produced and developed in Europe. Carefully matched with the optimal gearbox, it delivers high speed at low load and low speed at high load for safe fine-tuning when trimming.

Illuminated “intelligent” push button The E1 winch is supplied with a push button with integrated LED that lights up when power to the winch is turned on. The push button has a protective cover that prevents accidental winch operation and is IP67 waterproof. The push button also functions as a control unit with flashing status codes that assist in troubleshooting in the event of overload or other faults. A cable for connecting the push button is included for easy installation.

Unmatched monitoring and protection:

• Integrated overload protection - The control is preset to stop the winch if Maximum Pull Load is exceeded. Operation can resume within a few seconds once the load returns below the limit.
• Thermal overload protection - The motor shuts down in case of overheating and resets automatically when the temperature returns to normal.
• Reverse polarity protection - An integrated 5 Amp fuse protects the motor against incorrect wiring.
• Accidental start protection - The winch is disabled if the push button has already been accidentally activated.
• Low Voltage Detection - Operation is disabled if the battery level is low, preventing further battery drain and avoiding triggering a low-voltage reset of navigation instruments and other electronic equipment.
• Continuous Run Time - The winch is interrupted if continuous operating time exceeds 10 minutes.
• Manual operation - The winch can still be used as backup in manual mode.
